Every 1st weekend of the month we open an interesting (often rare) bottle from our secret collection, so that enthusiasts can try things that otherwise are hard to find open.
There is a limited number of drams in the bottle available so make sure you get yours asap.
For this month’s Break Even Bottle we are opening Daftmill - 2010 - Summer Batch Release.
Daftmill is a seasonal farm distillery located in Fife, Lowlands. This 2010 Summer Batch was produced using Optic barley grown on-site in the farm’s south fields. Because the distillery only operates during the farm’s quiet periods, production remains significantly smaller than traditional commercial operations. This specific release was vatted from 25 first-fill bourbon barrels sourced from Clermont Springs, Kentucky. It represents a notable era for the distillery, as it is the final production season to utilize the Optic barley strain, which is favored for its oily, weightier texture despite being less efficient to grow than modern varieties.
Available from April 3rd while the bottle lasts.
