Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mandamus is a single blended rum from Foursquare distillery in Barbados, released as part of the Exceptional Cask Selection series. The rum was matured for a total of 16 years, spending 10 years in ex bourbon barrels before being transferred for a further 6 years in ex Port pipes. This extended secondary maturation in Port casks gives Mandamus a deeper fruit character layered over the classic dry Barbadian structure.
The profile shows dark red berries baked plum and dried cherry alongside vanilla toasted oak and warm spice from the bourbon casks. The Port influence adds richness and gentle tannin without overwhelming the distillate. Bottled at 61 percent ABV with no added sugar colour or filtration, it delivers concentration and depth while remaining precise and structured in the Foursquare style.
