Distilled in January 2015 and bottled in January 2026, this Longrow 10 Year Old was selected from a single first fill Manzanilla sherry cask to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Juuls Vin & Spiritus. Only 324 bottles were produced.
This Longrow 10 Year Old was bottled to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Juuls Vin & Spiritus and comes from a single 1st fill Manzanilla sherry cask. Distilled at Springbank’s heavily peated Longrow distillery style and bottled at cask strength 57.3 percent.
Manzanilla casks are rarely used for whisky maturation and bring a distinct profile compared to the more common Oloroso or PX sherry casks. The coastal influence of Manzanilla pairs naturally with Longrow’s maritime peat character.
On the nose there is coastal smoke, saline notes and citrus peel alongside almond and light dried fruit from the sherry cask. The palate shows oily texture, peat smoke and mineral saltiness balanced by nuttiness, lemon zest and gentle spice. The finish is long, dry and slightly briny with smoke and coastal character lingering.
A focused single cask that highlights how Manzanilla can interact with Longrow’s peat driven spirit.
