Vinum Absinthiatum Vermouth Bianco draws its name and inspiration from ancient vermouth traditions—reminiscent of the Vinum Ellenicum Absinthiatum served by Cicero—yet is firmly rooted in the Piedmontese craft heritage. Infused with classic aromatics including wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium), it reveals delicate notes of gentian, angelica, lemon peel, and oregano—all married to a base of local Cortese wine via a meticulously aged demijohn and stainless steel infusion process. At 19 % ABV, held for at least six months, this is a vermouth where elegance meets history.
On the nose, it is elegant, with floral, herbal, and citrus overtones. The palate is delicate, balancing gentle acidity, with bitter-sweet warmth. The finish lingers on the aromatic interplay of Artemisia, oregano, and gentian, revealing layers that evolve sip after sip.
